independently or whether they complement. Unfortunately, I'm not in the mind of the product designer for either product and don't know what they had in mind for using using these two, e.g.
Note had the knob been on the left, purchasing the Keyboard Editor would have been a no-brainer. That, and I'm not sure how it would feel to have the Keyboard Editor in the keyboard drawer and the trackball further to the right. Honestly, what held me off on purchasing the Keyboard Editor was the knob being on the right instead of on the left, which for me would have complicated my life a bit because while the computer is principally dedicated to Resolve Studio, it doesn't mean it won't see use with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well, occasionally. Or is the idea to use a Speed Editor as an adjunct to a conventional keyboard, e.g instead of having both Speed Editor and Keyboard Editor?Ĭurious because I'm right handed and use a trackball (on the right side of the keyboard) instead of a mouse. Meanwhile, I'm curious, does the Speed Editor effectively replace the Keyboard Editor, or is there a plausible use-case for having both?
So I've purchased Resolve Studio 17 which comes with the Speed Editor and am patiently waiting for it to ship.
